Public Speaking Tip: Be at Your Physical Best

by Lily Iatridis on February 5, 2010

In preparation for your next speaking engagement, it’s important to be in the right physical condition in order to exude your best energy and individuality.  It is vital that your energy is “up,” and you must do your best to feel truly enthused to make your best presentation.  The day before a presentation, make sure you get plenty of rest.  At this point in the game, rest is far more important than practice.  Additionally, eat very little in the hours before your next speech or simply skip that meal.  There’s nothing like a full stomach to make you feel groggy, or worse, to make you burp during a talk.
