Public Speaking Tip: Breaking the Ice With Your Audience

If you’re going to want active audience participation, plan an opening activity or icebreaker where audience members are given the opportunity to get comfortable with you as well as their fellow group members.   Give them the opportunity to move, meet each other, or do a fun group problem solving activity together.  And if you’re drawing a blank on types of icebreakers to use, don’t reinvent the wheel.  Just visit http://wilderdom.com/games/Icebreakers.htmll for some ideas.  And don’t forget to enjoy yourselves!
